Sourcing Standards

All factual claims in our news reporting are attributed to identifiable sources. We rely on official statements, press conferences, court documents, government publications, and established wire services (AP, Reuters, AFP, PTI). Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information cannot be obtained through named sources and is clearly in the public interest.

Fact-Checking Process

Before publishing, our editors review articles for factual accuracy, source credibility, and headline accuracy. Headlines must accurately reflect article content and never be deliberately misleading.

Breaking news articles may be published with developing information. In such cases, we clearly label articles as "Developing Story" or "Breaking News" and update them as facts emerge.

Editorial Independence

The editorial team operates independently of our advertising, commercial, and business teams. Advertisers have no influence on story selection, tone, framing, or conclusions. Commercial and revenue considerations are never a factor in our editorial decisions.

Corrections Policy

When we publish errors, we correct them transparently. Corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the correction date and a clear description of what was changed and why. Significant errors may be highlighted in a dedicated correction notice.

Any content that is paid for, sponsored, or created in partnership with a commercial entity is clearly labeled "Sponsored Content," "Advertisement," or "Paid Partnership" at the top of the article. Sponsored content is clearly distinguishable from our independent editorial work.

Opinion & Analysis

Opinion articles are clearly labeled "Opinion" and represent the views of the individual author, not The News Ghar as an organization. Analysis pieces are labeled "Analysis" and are based on reported facts but include editorial interpretation.

Image & Media Standards

We use images that are original, licensed, from public/government domain sources, or from Creative Commons platforms (Unsplash, Pexels). We do not knowingly publish copyrighted images without appropriate licensing. If you are a copyright holder and believe your image has been used incorrectly, contact us immediately and we will remove or attribute it.
