SALA 2024 Los Alamos Event Center has scheduled an amazing week of community activities. There are plenty of activities to choose from, including exciting movie screenings and educational excursions.
Tuesday, April 23:
This week’s first CoderDojo class is set to start at 4 p.m. The opportunity to discover the world of computer programming and express one’s creativity will be provided to participants.
25 and 26 April, 2019:
Visit and enjoy the exciting film “Civil War” from 1-6 PM. Time-travel to 2024 and see the dramatic unfolding of fierce wars. Next, come back on April 27 and 28 for an even more thrilling weekend of riveting Civil War narratives.
April 27 and 28, Saturday and Sunday:
Come and join us in celebrating “Cosmic Frontiers”! See the 1991 film directed by Hawking and learn about science via an interactive Q&A session with the filmmakers. Scholars will debate scientific advances made since then while exchanging tales about Hawking. Don’t miss the book signings and stargazing on Saturday night!
Saturday, April 27:
YMCA Midnight Movies offers an after-dance event that is safe and supervised for all high school kids, starting at 11 p.m., regardless of whether they attend prom. It’s a free admission movie night that’s the perfect way to unwind and spend time with friends.
